I pursue what I can't reach.
Searching for you through the distance.
Reflecting you in thought and speech.
Fighting your aversion and resistance.
Working for your affections.
Suffocating in defeat.
Victory eludes insurrections.
Just as my love avoids me.
I wish we could chronicle all the time humanity has spent pursuing the impossible. I wish I knew when to give up. I don't. I'm an incurable optimist. I'm engaged in an eternal quest for the Holy Grail, without the glory of Arthur or the humor of Monty Python. Just the misery my daily living is seeped in. The Holy Grail I quest for isn't a golden chalice, or even a world-shattering secret. I quest for a heart, possibly the hardest object to obtain.

As a collective bunch, I think we've all failed as professional bloggers. We had something here! We were gonna take over the world! Anyways, if for some reason any of y'all get back on here, please post. Copy an article from Yahoo, whatever, then add some of the incessant character that made you a blogger at midnightdrive. Peace y'all. I'll be back soon with a post telling you guys what i've been up to these last 8 months. (They've been great, btw :P)

Death at a Funeral
No one can really say midnightdrive is dead. It was never really alive to begin with. The fact that no one posts on here anymore is sad yes, and a part of life, also yes. Even though I love to blog and spill a bit of knowledge every now and then, I just don't have/cant find any time to do so. However, without putting my foot TOO FAR into my mouth, I can say this with certainty, midnightdrive is NOT dead. Its in hibernation. Next school year, I'll have a lot more time on weekdays, reason being that I no longer plan on being part of a certain schools Broadcast News program. I plan on doing something productive. Til' then(or maybe sooner), Cheers.

The Death of A Blog
Although the big boss hasn't given the official word I might as well make it clear, midnightdrive, THE BLOG is dead. For the last few months its been barely surviving with a blog a month and lately with no blogging at all, so its time I put it out of it's misery. Though this news may strike up a chord of nostalgia in of our members and spark the desire to blog once again, I assure you the blog was to end some time or another. How does a blog like this slowly become among the other thousands of forgotten blogs? At first, the novelty of having a blog, one's own website per se, where one can write down one's thoughts of the world is exciting. But slowly laziness and distractions kick in. On the weekdays there's homework, on the weekends there's more to life than sitting in front of a computer. And even when in front of a computer other things call to a potential blogger such as youtube or facebook. Then promises are made, and I've made my fair share. "No more lallygagging, I promise to post every week." "This blog is officially BACK!!" Then promises are broken. Pretty soon the blog is once again forgotten. The end is here. I feel it is only right that the end of a blog should be just a short and sweet as its creation, no loose ends. Thanks for the memories, midnightdrive was great, apologies to the fans I hope you can understand but it's time to pull the plug.

Women can't drive, however...
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP)—A person familiar with the plan says Danica Patrick has reached a deal to enter NASCAR with JR Motorsports.
Patrick will announce a partial Nationwide Series schedule at a Tuesday news conference in Phoenix, the person familiar with her plans tells The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because she has not officially announced her intentions.
Last week Patrick signed a three-year contract extension with Andretti Autosport to stay in the IndyCar series, but its schedule gives her enough time to also try NASCAR.
It’s not clear yet how many races she will drive in NASCAR’s second-tier series for team owners Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Rick Hendrick.
GoDaddy.com will sponsor Patrick in both IndyCar and NASCAR.
