It's been quite a while ladies an gentlemen. I'm gonna try to post this as soon as I can or will be replaced by a monkey. So, I just came back from a 9 day trip to my father's homeland, Mexico City. Known as Chilangolandia in the rest of the Republic.
Mexico and Mexico City are amazing. I connected to my people and culture like never before. I even participated in traditional pre-Hispanic Aztec dancing. I didn't know what to write about at first, but this feels just right. I even spent my birthday in Mexico City, and had a Chavo del 8 birthday cake. I came home feeling refreshed, culturally connected, and ready to take on the world with a new found pride in who I am and who my people are. Ometéotl everybody.
I would also like to take a moment and welcome our newest member, Celina! Welcome aboard, it is an honor to blog with you.
Oh yeah! Mexico beat the U.S. in a stunning show of skill and athleticism 5-0, in Giants Stadium located in East Rutherford, NJ.
¡Sí se pudo!
